Islamic Scholar

Shaykh Waseem Ahmed, a student of the great ‘arif-billah, Sayyiduna Shaykh Muhammad al-Yaqoubi (Allah preserve and protect him), began studying Arabic for over 2 years in the UK before travelling to Syria in 2005 to further his Arabic studies at the Abu Noor institute.

He returned to Syria in the spring of 2007, having decided to pursue the Sacred sciences with full commitment and in the traditional manner. Under the tutelage and guidance of Sayyiduna Shaykh Muhammad al-Yaqoubi (Allah preserve and protect him), he studied with a variety of scholars, including the noble Shaykh himself.

Shaykh Waseem Ahmed attended al-Ma'had al-Dawli from late 2008 - enrolling on the four year accelerated program and graduating in the summer of 2012. During this period Shaykh Waseem Ahmed covered a traditional Islamic curriculum.

Shaykh Waseem Ahmed returned to the UK in 2012 and currently resides in Dewsbury, where he is the principal at the al-Huda Zawiya.

Allah continue to preserve and protect Shaykh Waseem Ahmed and his family and increase his ranks and knowledge in order to serve Allah and His Messenger (peace be upon him) and propagate the way of Ahlus Sunnah.
